Horizontal Lathe Machine GD500-75T

The GD500-75T is a larger flat-bed horizontal lathe machine in KingKAI's GD series, built for workpieces that exceed the capacity of compact slant-bed lathes. Its flat bed layout supports a longer longitudinal travel and a larger swing over bed, giving the operator room to load heavier bars and discs and to inspect the cut without an inclined enclosure blocking the line of sight. The low center line also makes it practical to set up a steady rest or follow rest along the bed when turning long or slender shafts. The machine pairs a rigid casting bed with a stable spindle head, a servo turret and a hydraulic chuck arrangement for continuous turning of steel, cast iron and non-ferrous material. It is suited to general shaft, disc and sleeve work where a larger turning envelope, straightforward operator access and easy maintenance are the priority. With a 700 mm maximum swing over bed and a 500 mm turning length, the GD500-75T covers large-diameter disc, thick-walled sleeve and heavy shaft work. The larger bed also absorbs chatter from heavy interrupted cuts on cast-iron and forged blanks, keeping surface finish stable even when the depth of cut is pushed.

The extended flat bed carries longer and heavier shafts, and the open layout lets the operator support the overhang with a steady rest.

The larger swing over bed accepts heavier discs, and the hydraulic chuck holds the part through heavy facing cuts.

The rigid bed supports a longer boring bar, helping keep straightness on long hydraulic or pneumatic sleeves.
